I recently painted my dark cabinets. I found I still did not have enough light in the kitchen. We bought the house less than a year ago and it only had one light box in the kitchen. Fhere are no recessed lights. If you’re like me and need more light, and do not want to spend $2k on can lights, BUY THIS LIGHT!
We installed it ourselves. Took us less than an hour. I did have to go buy longer screws and longer central mount bar (the bar that screws from the light into the middle of the cover housing).
After reading bulb reviews, I decided to go with 4w (40 w equivalent) LED Edison bulbs right here off Amazon. I don’t like daylight because they look like stadium lights. I probably could have gotten the 60w equivalent, but these 40w are excellent. The light is modern, stylish and very bright! I felt the material is well made. It doesn’t feel too thin and cheap. I almost went with a different 10 bulb Sputnik, but the lights just fanned out around the housing. This one has some middle lights pointing down. This looks better, in my opinion. I did buy a dimmer switch for this but have not installed that yet.
If you need more light, do not want to spend thousands on recessed lighting.. buy this, a dimmer switch, and bulbs for about $150 total for all parts and get the same effect.

Wow this light is fun. Currently renovating my modern/contemporary kitchen and this light was a perfect fit. This light is extremely bright however, so if you are looking for a quieter, softer light, this isn’t the one. This one is great for cooking and kitchen work and provides enough light to fill the entire room.

The fixture was well packed, and all arms were individually wrapped in plastic so they wouldn’t get scratched in the box.The arms were easily screwed in – just took a few minutes. I put some 4W dimmable LEDs in the fixture, and it puts out a lot of light. Love it.

Perfect–just what we wanted for this space. Renovating (hence the dirty floors) and wanted a quality modern fixture for a large bedroom (171″ x136″ in this main part of the room.) I think we may add a dimmer. With 10 40-watt LED Edisons, it illuminates well while not overpowering the room, but it would be nice to be able to adjust, should the situation dictate. When he opened the box, my contractor was not excited about “all of the little pieces” but I think it was a lot easier assembling than he anticipated.

If u buy this item, you can add these bulbs from Amazon too. It works great with a dimmer. There is no buzzing sound at all with the dinner for these bulbs. And yes, the bulbs are long but it makes the item look way better.

This is a great modern looking light fixture. We have it installed in our dining room. My wife picked this and we love the look of it. We used dimmable LED light bulbs and it looks great when dimmed too.
Installation was a bit more difficult than normal light fixture due to the many arms to assemble.
Price was good for such a cool looking fixture.
