We had to use this style of fixture because the former owners tiled around the base of the former light fixture. Therefore it had to be covered. It did a good job covering the spot and it looks good for a modestly priced light fixture. My only complaint is that it had scratch on the base due to someone not being careful when the screwed the nuts in. They should have put a seal coat on top of the paint to protect it.

This installed easily and fit the space where our 1980s style globe bulb fixture used to be. A huge upgrade, fits flush, and I am a total non handy man and was able to install. Red wire meets red, black meets black, and grounding wire. Simple. Unlike some user reviews mine arrived unbroken and unscratched. The glass was encased in styrophome so impossible to break in shipping. We used the Edison 7w with a dimmable bulb and switch. If you don’t have a dimmer switch get one as the lights look soooo much better at the dim settings!

Using the mounting hardware they gave us with the package, it felt a bit flimsy, luckily on the bar you attach to the outlet it comes with slots to reinforce into the wall which I would recommend. With the glass it adds a bit of weight to the fixture. Mounting it was pretty standard and the wiring they make VERY easy by consolidating all the positive and negatives. Excellent replacement for our very much dated 2000s Hollywood style chrome bar light fixture. We choose to go with 3000k LED Edison bulbs and the color tone for the room is very bright and relaxing!
